2012 Malaysian Grand Prix Represented by Ferrari's Prancing Horse

 

In this year's rainy 2012 Malaysian Grand Prix race, Fernando Alonso won first place, inching just 2.2 seconds ahead of Sergio Perez. The victorious Spaniard won this international racing event and represented Ferrari's prancing horse by living up to the esteemed super car reputation. Despite the slippery, rainy road conditions, Alonso snuck up on the runner-up at turn 14 when Perez took the turn too wide, leaving just enough room for Alonso…


Ferrari has been counting down this past week as the new Ferrari F620 GT makes its debut tomorrow, February 29th. The F620 GT will feature a 6.3-liter V12 engine, accelerating from 0-100 km/h in approximately 3.0 seconds, which is 0.5 seconds faster than the Ferrari FF and 0.7 seconds faster than its predecessor-the Ferrari 599 GT Fiorano.

Enzo Ferrari, the founder of the legendary car brand, started off his career and passion for automobiles as a test driver for Alfa Romeo cars. He founded Scuderia Ferrari in 1929, but did not intend to build his own racecars. However as we all may know, this was not the case as Ferrari's career progressed. The first Ferrari road car created was the 1947 125 Sport. Bearing the Ferrari name, this first road car demonstrated great speed and power that was unparalleled during its time, and in which its prestigious brand image still holds today. 

But this is the most basic history lesson for any Ferrari aficionado, so here's a little trivia question to test your knowledge:

Celebrity Sighting: Paris Hilton in our 2012 Ferrari California Spider


No big surprise here, celebrities, VIP's, CEO's and socialites are all fans of Ferrari's. Another to add to the list? Paris Hilton was sighted driving our 2012 Ferrari California Spider. With a top speed of 193 mph and 0-60 acceleration in just 4 seconds we will go ahead and agree with Paris and say, that's hot.

Celebrating the life of Sergio Scaglietti


Yesterday marked a sad day for Ferrari, who "lost a friend, a travel companion, a man who had his name forever connected to the Prancing Horse."

Sergio Scaglietti, the legendary Ferrari coachbuilder, who created some of the most famous models from the manufacturer from Maranello, passed away on November 20th. Ferrari Chairman Luca di Montezemolo shared, "Sergio Scaglietti leaves behind the legacy of an artist who with his talent created some of the most beautiful

Finali Mondiali 2011!

 
Today marks the third day of the Finali Mondiali! As for the Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, the final rounds of all four series crowned more champions today. Need a recap? During the second day, Stefano Gai became the Italian Trofeo Pirelli champion and Benedetto Marti was crowned in the Coppa Shell, while Max Blancardi took the European title.

What else? Today, Singaporean Ringo Chong won the Asia Pacific Trofeo Pirelli championship with Steve Wyatt winning the Coppa Shell, while the F430 category of the European series went to Gerald Grohman and the Mallegol-Bachelier pairing in the Coppa Shell. Tomorrow is the big day which will decide ultimately the world titles over three races taking place at 09.00(F430) 11.05(Coppa Shell) and 13.05 (Trofeo Pirelli).
